These terms govern all interactions with our web applications, interactive learning sandboxes, APIs, mobile interfaces, and course materials.
If you are accessing or using our platform on behalf of an institution, enterprise, government agency, or university, you represent and warrant that you possess full corporate and legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not possess such authority or disagree with any portion of these Terms, you must immediately terminate platform access and discontinue all learning activities.
2.User Accounts & Eligibility
To enroll in coursework, access interactive terminals, or obtain certified micro-credentials, you must establish an authenticated user account. By creating an account, you affirm that you satisfy all eligibility criteria:
- Age Verification: You must be at least 16 years of age, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction. Learners under this threshold must present verified institutional consent.
- Account Veracity: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration credentials and promptly maintain and update your profile information.
- Credential Confidentiality: Account access credentials, including passwords and cryptographic multi-factor authentication tokens, are non-transferable and must remain confidential. Account sharing is strictly prohibited.
- Security Notification: You must immediately notify Michael's security operations team of any suspected security breaches or unauthorized use of your credentials.
3.Platform Access & License
Subject to your continued adherence to these Terms and timely settlement of applicable tuition or subscription fees, Michael grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to access and interact with our platform.
This grant entitles individual learners to stream instructional media, engage with compiler instances, download designated syllabus documentation, and complete laboratory evaluations strictly for your personal, non-commercial pedagogical development or authorized internal enterprise training.
4.Intellectual Property & Course Content
Our platform embodies significant intellectual property developed through collaborative academic research and proprietary software engineering:
- Platform Materials: All proprietary curricula, video lectures, source architectures, automated grading heuristics, graphical UI designs, and registered trademarks remain the exclusive property of Michael or its contributing licensors.
- Student Work & Submissions: Learners retain full intellectual ownership of their original assignments, independently written source code repositories, and capstone projects created during coursework.
- Assessment License: By submitting solutions for grading, you grant Michael a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to parse, execute, and analyze your submission solely for pedagogical assessment, plagiarism prevention, and platform improvement.
5.Tuition, Billing & Subscriptions
Access to premium masterclasses, professional certificate tracks, and advanced compute sandboxes requires payment of specified tuition or recurring subscription fees:
- Payment Processing: Transactions are securely conducted via certified third-party payment gateways (e.g., Stripe). Payment details are encrypted and never stored on Michael application servers.
- Automatic Renewals: Monthly and annual recurring subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled prior to the conclusion of the active billing cycle via your account billing settings.
- 14-Day Refund Window: Eligible individual course purchases carry a 14-day money-back guarantee, provided less than 25% of curriculum materials have been accessed and no credential has been issued.
- Enterprise Contracts: Cohort billing, bulk seat allocations, and custom institutional agreements are governed by supplemental written service master orders.
6.Acceptable Use & Academic Integrity
Michael is founded upon rigor, integrity, and reciprocal respect. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy regarding conduct that compromises academic veracity or technical stability. Prohibited activities include:
- Plagiarism & Contract Cheating: Submitting uncredited third-party code, misrepresenting generative AI outputs as unaided human work on proctored exams, or procuring third-party examination substitutes.
- Content Redistribution: Recording, scraping, ripping, or unauthorized re-publishing of proprietary video lectures, test banks, or laboratory configurations.
- Infrastructure Exploitation: Reverse-engineering platform sandboxes, escaping container boundaries, conducting unauthorized penetration testing, or deploying denial-of-service vectors.
- Harassment & Abuse: Disparaging, discriminating against, or harassing fellow students, tutors, or system moderators within community channels.
7.Tutor & Instructor Commitments
Academic tutors and institutional fellows delivering instructional modules on the Michael network agree to uphold the highest standards of professional pedagogical excellence:

- Responsiveness & Feedback: Providing timely evaluation of capstone modules and maintaining scheduled live laboratory advisory hours.
8.Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Michael educational platform, its sandboxes, and all included curriculum materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, statutory, or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a specific pedagogical purpose, or uninterrupted system uptime.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Michael Academic Systems Inc., its officers, directors, employees, or pedagogical partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of profits, data, or academic certification opportunities arising from your use of or inability to access the platform. Michael reserves the unilateral right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your user account, revoke issued course certifications, or refuse service at any time without prior liability if we determine, in our sole reasonable discretion, that you have materially breached these Terms, violated our Academic Integrity Code, or posed a security threat to platform services.
You may deactivate or terminate your account at any time via your account settings dashboard. Upon account closure, all associated licenses terminate immediately, while sections concerning intellectual property, dispute resolution, and liability limitations shall survive.
